This week we set out for the Tobago Cays and discover we have an island to run around all to ourselves.
Mustique and the locals
While Mustique is known for it’s more famous residents, dating back to Princess Margaret, David Bowie, Tommy Hilfiger and Mick Jagger we found it one of the most peaceful islands we have visited yet. After dropping anchor off Basil’s Bar we dingy ashore to explore the island and meet the first inhabitants that still roam the island.
St Vincent and La Soufrière Volcano
After seeing the other Stratovolcanoes on Montserrat and Martinique we finally get the chance to hike to the summit and peer into one of these destructive volcanoes. It has only been a couple of months since Arielle’s knee surgery so hoping it holds out on the 3 hour hike.
Final Dive
On the last day in the BVI’s I decided to get one last dive in before heading out. Yesterday’s shark hunt was a bust but the scenery was beautiful. Today I hopped into the water in 5 foot seas to see if any sharks could be found here and was I ever rewarded.
Playing at The Playground
What a great and surprising dive. It seems most people are afraid of sharks but they are really fun to chase.
Venus Super Yacht
We pulled into the marina in Grenada and went around what we thought was a building until we got closer and realized it was Steve Jobs Super Yacht. https://youtu.be/wjKSPCFA5JQ
Hurricane Time
What else is there to do when waiting for the next hurricane? Clean up the salon since we will be spending lots of time playing domino’s and Gin, of course.
Swimming with Turtles
Just swimming along with the turtles enjoying life!
Onward to St Barts
As we journey from Ile Fourchue to St. Barts we encounter rough seas and figure out how to raise the anchor. Eventually, we arrive intact and enjoy the island.
